Depression, one of the most common mental illnesses that leads to a higher risk of suicide (Sinar Harian, 2019).
1 in 5 young adults is depressed and 1 in 10 teens needs emotional support (NHMS).
Research has proven the link between severe depression and suicide attempts (NHMS). Loss of suicide affects family & friends emotionally and socially.

The World Health Organization reports suicide as the top 10 causes of death in the world.
In Malaysia .......
Teenagers ages 13 to 17 have a 10% higher suicide rate, compared to 7.9% in 2012 (NHMS)
NHMS reports that suicide ideation in 2017 was higher by 0.90% compared to 2012, while suicide attempts were 6.9%.



The NHMS states that at least 1 in 10 or 10% of 5.5 million youths have experience of suicidal thoughts.
